Yeah your right, you could probly leave the engine in resting on a jack, and just drop the box out.

Only the same box would be suitable imo for the sake of ratios, hcs engines (not enduras) are slow enough anyway without having long ratios. Mk3 16v boxes dont alter the angle of the engine either im pretty sure
