First of all all engines in this shape mondeo have a belt
Some have a belt and a chain but it's difficult to determine exactly which has belt and chain, or 2 belts. This only applies to the 1.8 tdci however. & i think it's about 150k interval for the belt. It's also worth noting ford do advise the chain is replaced at 150k (i think) aswell. So don't assume cos it's chain it will never need attention. This only applies to the 1.8 remember but all other engines do have a belt!
I said this last week on here but the mk4 is a very underrated car, love the colour aswell! imho this drives better than a a4/3or 5 series of a similar age it really is a great great car!
& as for the milage, i wouldn't worry. the kind of person who has a mondeo as a company car probably doesn't drive it like he stole it and gets it serviced regularly as requires a reliable motor!
