The area around the bottom of the windscreen and the scuttle experiences positive pressure when the vehicle is moving, that's why the air vents are there. Fitting bonnet raisers will help cool the engine bay when stationary but will not help when moving as a very small amount of air will go in at the back of the bonnet, disturbing the normal airflow under the bonnet. A bad idea all round and they look gash as well.
