I think it will bring the EML light on any of them if the EGR valve is electronic.
Some people say you can get a blanking plate with a small hole in it and it doesnt bring the EML light on tho from what ive read it always ends up bringing it on sooner or later anyway.
If you need an EGR valve you can buy the jag one which is about £115 compared to £300 from ford.
Loads of people fit blanking plates to the 2.0's without problems from what i've heard. I guess it depends on how sofisticated the system is so its very vehicle and year specific.
