I've spoken to Tom Seal@gripper and he has said its not a problem for the mot it's not on the rollers long so the plate wear will be min and when the wheel stops it will engage the diff and lock up but by that point the test would be finished.

A welded diff is different tho.

I've had my diff for over 10years and never had an issue with mots.
