nothing wrong with your cam combination
14 inlet std exhaust is fine
lag is more likely to be a turbo issue no wastegate preload sticking penny in the hole etc etc
boost control is best with a boost control valve a correctly jetted amal valve will do and is cheap
the turbo looks like a t34 with a .48 turbine housing and should not be laggy
cam timing could also be an issue
110 exhaust 115 inlet would be better for response
my advice is take it to a specialist that can set it up and check it for det and afr and can map weber
i have installed my other -31 actuator with about 10mm of pre load, response feels a little better but still boosting 17psi but a little earlier.
how much pre load should i have?
when i remove the actuator the arm seems to be stuck closed and needs a tap to free it, is this normal?
can you recommend a tuner? i am just outside Birmingham.
