They are that type quite often I agree. However getting the diet right when you are in shape is a fine tuning act! You need enough energy to exercise, enough protein to maintain or build muscles. Decent fats etc etc. It gets to the point of weighing out food and counting macros. Its an exact science that people get obsessed about.

OP, the low carb diets that have been mentioned are now more commonly referred to as "keto". Use that name and search mate, will help you more than typing Atkins or similar into google.

Oh and imho the weight will fall off quite quickly at first as you are way over your natural bodies weight but it will slow regardless of diet. You are going to have the up that cardio eventually so might as well make it your friend now. Will help now and will help in the long run.

Also, that diet you posted earlier in the thread. Toast, weeabix and meal, you got to 18 stone on that? Must be your first attempt at cutting out the shit right?

Think about meal times too.. Don't eat too late at night. Eat before gym etc.
