its a big pain in the ring for very little gain, the mk2 was a couple of inches longer on the front to accomodate the cvh, it can be done but everything is very tight up front meaning you are gong to have to mess around getting a smaller alternator, modifying the exhaust etc, engine mount will need changing, fiesta centre did a kit but it needs welding to the shell and it is a bit agricultural to say the least, all for an engine that is arguably a worse design from a performance point of view than a x-flow, if you are gong to that effort i would seriously fit a zetec as they are cheap, plentiful, reliable and very tunable as they are a progression from the BDA series engines, if you are determined to stay old school, try to source a 1600 x-flow (make sure its a FWD version) as it will be far easier to fit only requiring some engine lowering blocks
