I know people who have tried welded front diffs for FWD cars in drag racing as a pikey alternative to a LSD.

HORRID on the road, not like a rear one which is just slightly bad manners, far worse, epsecially for stuff like parellel parking.

For your use though, no problem at all as its just going to be a rear diff in your car anyway.
