timing seems to be out?
hi all. i have a supercharged fiesta st an the engine died so i bought another an fitted my self an it started up an ran up to temp fine but the bottom pulley was bent an wobbling so i didnt drive it an promptly booked it into a local garage to swap pulley.
car drove there fine but i kept the revs below 2.5k just incase.
engine felt good an drove like a dream so i left the car at the garage an picked it up a day later as i have another car to use.
drove out of the garage ok an i got to the local dual carriage way where i opened it up a little an a big bang an the boost pipe blew off an car felt like it was running on 3 cylinders so i limped it home an reconnected the pipe an started it where it run lumpy so changed plugs as one was fouled.
car started an running now seems to idle a little lumpy so i pulled each lead off one by one an a noticeable difference with each one same with injectors..
tried a quick drive an there is no power at all seems to be holding back very badly.
had a code reader on it today an the live data shows the timing advance flickering around 25 (assuming degrees) an the engine load calculation as 88% at idle
soo i checked my timing an BAMS the bottom pulley doesnt quite line up to timing marks.
so does any one know if my symptoms sound like there directly caused by the timing issue?
i will be returning the car Monday for them to sort the timing out but should i expect it all to be well or does it sound like other problems?
