Quick question - my clutch is slipping so got some prices from local garages and they said best to change the DMF as well - toal cost around £750. Went to Ford dealership and they quoted £400 - quizzed them if this included the DMF and they assured me that my model (2003) does not have a DMF - they checked their databases etc using the car's reg no and are adamant it does not have one. Who do I belive I don't want to book it in for a clutch change of £400 with the local garage and then they tell me I'll need to double it as it has a DMF - apparently they can't tell untill it's apart. Any advice greatfully received! Also it's done 81K.
well un-less your car was a one off or your car isnt an st170 im quite sure the flywheel is a duel mass item as fords never did a solid flywheel for the st170,
ford use luk flywheels, (check ebay and other parts factors) £400+clutch bearing and servo. about £300 plus labor £150-300
for a solid fly check
