So can you shed any light on when this happened, has the car been sitting, rebuilt etc???
As with any cossie or old car it WILL be electrical/sensor related, so thats an obvious one.
Not sure on your cossie knowledge or history but most common faults would be phase sensor, crank sensor for starters but looks like youve covered them, it's unlikely to be a fuelling issue or air leak.
If it was me I'd be playing with the TPS and map sensor wires to see if there's a dodgy connection oin the loom first off, you can also check the resistances of each sensor to see if they are working if you've got half a clue how to use a volt meter and so on, so maybe that's youre next best bet.
Also if you remove the distributor cap and rotor arm and protective cover thing under the that (if it's still there) you can see ther phase sensor wires, these degrade and break, this is also a common fault so i'd check that as well.
On another note I take it your leads are the right way round and your plugs are in good nick?
