It would probably be best to wait till someone like Stu@MSD or James@MSD pop a correct answer on here, rather than my flakey memory trying to help!

Basically to get the rev counter working there were 2 mods to do, one was bridge two tracks on the printed circuit board on the back of the rev counter - sounds like you have done that.

The other was to join together 2 green coloured wires that used to plug on top of the coil - without them being joined there would be no feed to the rev counter.

On my Escos which had this conversion partially done, the green wires weren't joined, and I guess the rev counter mod wasn't done.

I joined the green wires and then for whatever reason had to drive the car before doing the rev counter mod, weirdly it worked, and I think it read correctly. Only drove the car once, then took it off the road for a few weeks, then when I came back to it the rev counter is dead as a dodo. At the very least I think I need to do the rev counter mod, but I may have buggered either something in the ECU or the rev counter itself.

I'm not sure what the joining of the tracks on the printed circuit board does, so if anyone does know an explanation would be reet good
