I've bought keys direct from Vauxhall before but now i get all my keys etc through 3D Group in Nottingham.

The locked display on the dash is probably just because the key hasn't been programmed or the transponder is incorrect. I'd seriously recommend buying op-com. You can do a diagnostic to check why the id46 isn't programming to the car.

Where did you get the chip from? I checked on 3D Group website & they don't list id46 transponder as a seperate item. They're always built into keys. The id46 chips that are listed seperate are for Renault, Peugeot, Citroen etc

Also i've never used my MVP to program keys to Vec C. I always use op-com.
