once setup and the tired management is replaced there fairly reliable. regular plug/oil filter changes and sensible warm up period before giving it death should see some trouble free miles. half the battle is sifting through previous bodges. its a lengthy proccess but worth it in the end.

if you have an amal valve, a good idea is to fit a switch in line so that you have 2 stage boost control. off will be whatever your actuator is set at (for low boost say 8psi) and on (amal active) will be whatever your amal is set to run, depending on jet/nylon insert. have the fuelling set up on the basis of the amal been on/the higher boost level of the 2 available. it costs about a fiver and is piss easy to fit.
