Not sure how white tins would apply.

But I painted mine black using "Fortress" satin black from B&Q. Mostly as it used normal thinners and hammerite is a pain in the hole.

But for best results I used one of those little square short bristle pad brush thingies they sell. Normal brushes were totally shit, those little ones put on a nice smooth coat.

When new test somewhere else first as there are some loose bristles and they make a mess. Once it's clean paint away.

Also found them impossible to clean properly, but new pads arent dear anyway for additional coats.
