Was having a conversation about this the other day and have heard loads of conflicting story's about this so im asking for the correct answers if possible, not hearsay.
If you insure a car as standard then modify it without declaring the mods what happens in the event of a total loss claim.
Will the insurance be void and you won't get paid out.
What happens in this case if a 3rd party is involved.
How likely will it be that any mods will be noticed.
If you change the wheels for wheels from the same make of car but another model and don't declare it will this affect the insurance in the event of a claim.
Do things like tinted windows on the rear,a tow bar, quad headlights etc all come under 'modification' and therefore need declared?
For the record both my cars are standard as they are good enough for what I need them for as they are.
