Poking about under my daily hack on Saturday I noticed some very odd tyre wear. I sent the car into a garage earlier this year as I was getting a hollow sounding clunk from the n/s/f and poor steering feel. The car was returned to me with them saying they couldn't find anything wrong and it was my imagination. Now the hollow clonking has got much worse and I've found this tyre wear (inside edge to the right of the pic).



I've often seen accelerated wear on the inside edge but this is a firm ridge of less wear than the rest of the tyre. Both sides are the same?

Pretty certain the clonk, poor steering feel and this wear are all connected but any suggestions?

Car is my '96 Audi A4 T-Sport, front suspension was polybushed last year
