Yes it will have swirl flaps and they are about £50.00 for the blanks and about a two - three hour jobs to fit them, whilst doing this its worth while doing both of the thermostats and cleaning out the egr valve.

As for a remap, yes they can be mapped, mine was done by Jason at BMWchiptune as he runs an X5 regularly at the POD with some interesting results.

Mine is sat at around 350bhp and over 500lbft of torwue and still manages over 40 to the gallon. Its also worthwhile speaking to Jason about removing the DPF as they can block and cause issues but still pass the MOT even with a gutted one. I know cause mine did last weekend.

If you wanted to listen to an IPOD then a Dension GAteway 500 is the way to go as it means you can have the IPOD in the glovebox and control it through the IDrive.
