I have been down this road on my last cossie £1200 to have the head taken off rebuilt and refitted changed turbo oil' consumption improved but you still had to check and top it up, especially on a long run. it gets on your nerves after a while. On this cossie I bit the bullet and completely rebuilt the engine hey presto no oil consumption 2500 miles ran it in with mineral 750 mls semi 750 and then full synth I even keep the oil in the shed instead of the boot, miss the £4000 grand though.
