I read the transponder with my AD900 & it read the id ok. I know when i've come across faulty transponders before it just says transponder missing or something similar.

With Focom you have to add the VIN, ECU part number, serial number & reason for needing patscode.

I didn't get a full years subscription as I wasn't sure which way i'd end up going equipment wise. I'm wanting to buy an MVP Pro or AD100 Pro mainly for VAG precoding but will use it for Ford as well if it will do the CAN keys ok.

I'm still waiting for a reply from OBDtester & Secons to see if they have any idea why it failed. The customer want it sorting sooner rather than later so i've told them if I don't get a reply by Monday afternoon i'll put a TPX2 chip in their key & just clone it. I'm not really a fan of the idea of cloning but sometimes when needs must.

I've got a Galaxy & another Focus to do in the next couple of weeks so i'll see what happens with them & i'll put a comment on here to let you know if they went ok or not
