bit of an update. Tried using Focom to fully program a new key to a 2007 Focus yesterday but it wouldn't do it.
It gave the outcode ok as it did when i tried it on my mates so i got the correct incode from patscode.com. After the incode is entered Focom instructs you to put the new key in the ignition & then press "cancel" for coding
A communications status bar is there with the bar filling up repeatedly. I tried waiting for about 10mins with the status bar doing it's thing but that didn't change anything & then as soon as you click "cancel" as instructed it just gives an error message
I tried repeatedly for about 1hr with no luck. I've emailed the supplier & they've asked me to email them the debug files & also snapshots of the PCM & IPC info. Just waiting for a reply.
The annoying thing is it took 4 of my patscode credits trying to program the key. Hopefully they can give me some useful info as to why it wouldn't program.
Focom didn't tell me how many keys were already programmed to the car so it may be up to it's limit & i didn't want to risk erasing all the keys in case it still didn't program any as the customer would be left with no working keys
