Ok, what is so special with the original nut on the tensioner on the cossies? Have been using regular nut and washer for years never been an issue....is it a locknut? Is it supposed to be used without a washer?

What do people normally use? Locknut with or without washer? Regular nut w washer? Std ford nut without washer
