As for getting £150 for a Peugeot diesel cat id be absoloutly amazed if any scrapyard would give you anywhere near that for it.
I give roughly £30 a cat when collecting scrap locally but then store it until there's enough to take in in bulk.
it was a gyppo that gave me that for it there is no need to cut open a cat to see what is in it , they all have codes stamped on them which if you know how to interpret tell you exactly what is in them
the peugeot one for example has gold, silver and platinum in it hence the £150
if you could be bothered to keep hold of them till you had a massive stock then it would be worth taking them to belgium as they are worth 2-3 times more over there.

vw golf diesel £80
astra diesel £80
ford mani cats £30-£40
ford normal cats £50-£80
saxo's 106's etc.. £40
