Ford sold off their truck operation to Iveco in the late 80's but retained the right to have their badge on Iveco products for several years after the sale (hence the name Iveco Ford Truck). Iveco continued to produce the Cargo (the original) but that ceased around 1993 and with it any part of the original Ford commercial vehicles. The EuroCargo replaced the Cargo from 93 and had no connection to Ford apart from a badge stuck to it. From 93, Ford had nothing to do with any Iveco products except in name.

After the buy out Iveco and Ford had an agreement that Ford wouldn't produce a commercial vehicle bigger than 3.5t and Iveco would not produce a vehicle smaller than 3.5t. that expired some time ago and now you can buy both the Daily at 2.6t upwards and a Transit up to 4.5t.
