This is a on going argument through out passion ford if you search your see plenty of threads relating to this..

the copper radiators have plastic ends on them.

The alloy rads have a larger surface area and metal ends and are "High Flow" apparently.

i have a alloy rad in my rs, they are a good upgrade if your using a full front mount intercooler as it makes mounting the cooler a bit easier but as for heat transfer and dissipation people have said theres not a lot of difference.

My RS hovers around half way all the time but again remember the temp gauges are beyond inaccurate
