its hard to explain but theirs a part on the ratchet under the pedal that you push and the ratchet goes back into itself leaving the cable slack so you can just pull the nipple out of its clip.. if you get your head in the footwell and see how the thing works its very easy.. the whole job is half hour including getting it on stands..
