Finally got round to having a go at this, fronts: bit of a nightmare, couldnt get the pinchbolt undone so had to remove the shocker with the hub intact, glad its done now though as the spring was in 2 pieces.

Rears, as predicted, the bolt wouldnt come out there either, tried compressing the springs with the damper undone to get the arm down a bit, no joy. Spring compressors I tried werent really up to it. Is it worth undoing the arb? Will it allow it to drop further?
Sp3no, what sort of spring compressor did you use for it? Seen a thread on another forum where someone used an internal compressor but dont really want to fork out a fortune to get one imported as it will only get used for this one job. Dont mind buying a decent normal set as I know they will get used again, as long as they will work.
