I was kind of afraid of that. I've already part stripped the engine and engine bay down, as have a couple of other bits to change too, and there is no power to the engine now. So that's option 3 out.
Option 2 was what I was thinking of. My worry is that as I have the car jacked up and sat on axle stands (obviously I'll need to drop the back wheels down 1st) is there any chance of me turning the engine and box, and in so doing pulling it off the stands? (I'll be laying under it to get to the pulley and working alone in the garage). I have chocks for the wheels but I'm worried how tight the bolt could be? Anyone advise if the bolt will loosen before turning the drivetrain?
