and i guarantee you will find some rot at least, especially as you mention peeling underseal as there is only one thing that causes that,,, ROT!
I agree it is very labour intensive, I now have a quote I'm happy with anyway. The painter I use is now 2 hours away due to me moving away recently but the costs for moving the shell will be worth it. Not keen on getting the whole car painted by someone more local that I've never used before, very fussy with my paintwork! The peeling underseal is only around the jacking points, the rest is very good. I am lucky enough to have an extremely solid shell now after the last nightmare.
