Thats spot on mine came on 2day on my vrs and is the temp sensor.!
Try changing it (ECT sensor) and you'll probably still get the code.
The common belief is that it's the thermostat as the ECU maps the difference between the ECT sensor and the Radiator sensor.
I haven't changed my stat yet to prove it.
