It isn't unusual to see a gap if what we are talking about is in the middle between the bell to disc mounting holes, see below.



It would be nice to see the disc holes as they look like the floating type that needs a bobbin, did you buy these used? If so I'd get them checked before spending any money as they look like they've seen a bit of action from the pic.
