All modern diesels have DMFs and all cars eventually need new clutches, so they aren't really 'problems' as such. Just bloody expensive service items.
The 2.2s seems to have less injector issues than the 2.0, but there are a lot less 2.2s, so it figures that you hear about them breaking less often.
The 2.2 is a better engine, and I'd definitely have one over a 2.0.
