No problem, you can try it but I doubt fluid would cause it.

I have (and always have had the same problem) I have cleaned 3 or the 4 sensors but cannot remove the offside front one, and don't want to force it as I think it will damage it or worse I am left with part of it stuck in the bore, and they are astromically expensive to buy new as well!

It's a discrepency of wheel speed between different wheels that is being detected, so binding brakes for example would cause the same issue.
