Mines been very reliable, early ones had iffy plastic water pump impeller, but easy change to metal one. Check rear boot/wheel well for water, leaks round rear lights. The irmc box which opens secondaries at about 3k/4k can get fried, so check you get kick on acceleration. Remote door lock solenoids play up, had 2 go on mine, but been fine last few years. Had a front suspension spring snap, but I was lucky it stayed in the shocker, but gave me excuse to lower it.
I've never worried about fuel consumption , it ain't great, but it's a V6 so expect it, no pain no gain!
They are great cars and cruise effortlessly.
