there's nothing wrong with doing budget conversions, just as long as you don't skimp where it's vital you have the right parts. it's false economy to put in something without knowing it's true effects and have it wipe out the engine. there are people selling chipped ecu's all the time cheaply . i have seen people claim 250+ with beiges fitted but these were only claims ( one was in either performance/fast ford mag , it was grey with mondeo rims. ) and my car runs between 220-240 with beiges, however i wouldn't push them any further than that at all. if you intend to run more power than this then i would suggest you source some injectors to cope. trouble is if your on a budget then what ones to get? how much power are you looking for?
