Default Ford buying advice

Hi guys, im in need of a new car. i havent had an 'interesting' ford for a long time so im looking into buy another. BUT due to my situation i dont have much money to splash out on something flash. £800ish doesnt buy what id call a great car but thats all i have to play with so im just wondering,

if you were in my situation what would you buy. it must be taxed and mot'd. it can need a bit of tlc as i dont mind putting some elbow grease in to tidy it up. not panel damage or engine rebuilds.

I dont mind if it looks like its been dragged through a max power magazine as long as it doesnt have any lasting damage such as silly holes from multiple spoilers and 8 inches of fibreglass! I think putting cars back into standard trim is a nice way to show your interest in a clean tidy car if its say a xr or rs of some sort?

im thinking maybe a puma, fiesta of some sort, maybe? wouldnt mind a diesel replica of a xr2i/rs. Also would i be regarded as a chav is i drove a fiesta zetec s even though im 30 this year lol

any ideas or advice is gladly received!
