Buy a k and n kit, my filter on my mx quad is allways seriously dirty and there kits if used properly make the filters look like new and the red filter oil in a spray can means it will work like new too!!

Do not use petrol ever, or solvents they break down the cotton use soapy water if anything. Hope this helps
