i have cut off the elbow as i am going to turn it around so i thought while im at it i might aswell improve the airflow into it.
i have worked out the area of the throttle is 2828mm and the origional rectangular inlet to the plenum is 120x25mm = an area of 3000mm
this means that the rectangular inlet is not a restriction but i have opened it up to 185x25mm area off 4650mm so plenty of flow.
but i have now evened up where the air enters and flows more evenly to the cylinders.
so it should have better distribution now.
my question is
now ive gone this far should i go a bit ffurther and put a supply pipe to cylinders 1&4? say a 25mm pipe from the new elbow to just under the trumpets of 1&4?
or is this overkill and not neccisarry?
what do you think?
