Wee update for anyone thats interested.

Fitted a new fuel metering valve on the hi-pressure pump, still no difference !

Also fitted a new fuel pressure regulator sensor on the fuel rail and still no difference !!

Also drained the fuel filter into a clear plastic tub, ran a magnet around it to check for metal fragments and not a thing !!

I admit defeat and she is booked into the Ford dealer for a diagnostic check this week !

I do realise that most folks have a life and are busy, but this seems a common problem with the Mondeo ?
I would have thought that after nearly a month somebody would have offered advice or help ?
