PT Cruiser Diesel...anyone done work on one?
Just bought a 02 plate Diesel PT cruiser with a clutch problem; anyone done any work on one?
it still does have a clutch pedal but its very spongy at the top and feels normal at the bottom of the pedal, drove it back by starting it in gear. If i dipped the clutch completely it was crawling/ biting so i suspect slave cylinder problem. The slave is internal on these
I "think" the last owner let the fluid get low, so i'm going to try and bleed it first, my idea was to cut the hydraulic line and put a T piece/ bleed nipple in, good idea or bad?
If not, has anyone dropped the gearbox on one? difficult. Or can suggest a proven bleeding procedure
