Oh and this from Bedford 2006

Steve, we had some funny times; I remember going up to the Beds meet in a sharpish fashion and your grass cutting altercation at Bedford We did have some good times!

Parts etc are expensive, but I don't intend for it to be my main car for long, I'll get myself a diesel estate so I can sling my mountain bike in the back. I don't commute to work so it won't do that many miles a year. You'd be suprised how much a modified Ford RS costs to maintain

It's got the Milltek exhaust on it from factory; it must be the non resonated, non valved one as it sounds beautiful I haven't blasted it yet as I am just getting used to the car.

Wouldnt like your fuel bills
It doesn't do many miles to the gallon But I don't smoke, drink hardly at all and this is my treat to myself. I don't use it to commute and I like to walk and have a mountain bike. I live at work anyway.

Thanks Jim; I hope you are well? It's funny how all of us have progressed and changed over the years. I hear you are doing well; fair play to you

Love your S1 I picked the RS4 out of my own preference. I could have bought a 600 bhp Evo 10 and a daily run around, but decided to go for a grown up car with a bit of ooomph

Thanks for the kind words Do miss the fun I had with the S1, but not all the hassle. Hence the new car.

I love RS4's but have been scared off for life due to more than one story about oil use and being miles under quoted Audi power. Shame
I read up about them for quite a while Chop, I fully understand what you are saying; DRC problems, coaked manifolds reducing horsepower, using oil etc. I just like the whole car from the interior, the flared arches, bodywork, driving position and feedback, noise, style, everything is there, needs nothing modifying and the build quality of the Audi.

It's a car that I have wanted for a few years. Besides I think the interiors of the BMW's are not very elaborate. The RS4 has a gorgeous interior.

There's plenty of better contenders; I'm very happy with mine.

I know about the oil thing, I will just keep an eye on mine. I have the Milltek as it was fitted at the factory and it sounds the tits Even when it starts up it sounds mental

What is the claimed Bhp on these.
I'll have to read up a bit more as to why Glenn, claimed is 414 bhp (4wd), but rarely do they ever make that with coking up problems. Simple mod is to have the manifold ported, cures the coking and is an extra mod.

I'd like one for my RS6 but would like to have a ride in another car with one to see how noisey/quiet they are inside the car, no doubting they sound great outside though!
Ben, it's got one on from the factory. They sound the tits! Don't be trying to get me to mod it as I've already seen the supercharged videos on Youtube Must resist
