There is a difference between flow capability and throttle response. Just because a plenum has the volume to not become a restriction in producing power it does not mean that the throttle response is not compromised. Swedish plenums used to be noticeably less responsive at lower engine speeds but would make more power at the top end of the rev range. There are very few modifications that can be performed to engines that will provide a global gain without there being some form of compromise.
