You have insurance and you have the documents. If you'd answered the coppers question of how much you had paid for cover you may have found they would have dealt with you differently as it would have shown you were attempting to comply with their request.

When dealing with the police I have always adopted the friendly and treat them on the same level as myself approach and as a result I have seen myself walk away without points, fines or anything else, sometimes when to be fair I really did deserve it.
Its non of thier business how much his insurance was as long as he is insured.

I have told the police the same when stopped for speeding tho they couldnt prove my speed and were trying to get me to admit i was speeding years ago being 19 in my ST170 that it was non of his business how much it was.

Got a producer tho, showed my documents and away i went.
