You have insurance and you have the documents. If you'd answered the coppers question of how much you had paid for cover you may have found they would have dealt with you differently as it would have shown you were attempting to comply with their request.
When dealing with the police I have always adopted the friendly and treat them on the same level as myself approach and as a result I have seen myself walk away without points, fines or anything else, sometimes when to be fair I really did deserve it.
mate i was not been difficult with them at all,i was just standing up for my self,the copper who pulled me ,claimed i overtook the car which was in the right hand lane,at 50mph and that he can do me for dangerous driving,i just said to him .how can i overtook him when the highway code states that you drive in the left lane (which i was doing) and the right hand lane is for overtaking or turning right ,and then when that cocky sergant came over to me ,fucking telling me ,did i not see you on crime watch a couple of months a go ,trying to be funny with me, but i kept cool mate ,and as for how much i paid for my insurance i said thats private really,he was just been an ass mate ,may be some of you think i was been an ass as well.but i dont like nobody talking to me like shit ,cause i dont do it to them,copper or no fuking copper ,respeck is the name of the game in my eyes mate
any way i got car out of the pound ,but iam £150 out of pocket ,which iam going to claimed back
