I was pulled by traffic in my Sapphire and the car came back as uninsured,this was 6 months into the policy.I explained who with,when and how I paid because it was out of hours and they were unable to check.Ok I got pulled for going a bit quick off a roundabout but just being polite to the two women officers served me well seeing as they were going to impound my car.I was told as they would contact the i/company the following day and if all was well thats the end of the matter.If it transpired as I was uninsured they would come to my home address and seize the car.
The moral of the story is "bite your tongue and cooperate" easier said than done sometimes though if they are being arsey. Check yourself on askmid to see if your car is on there.
