Not being funny mate but your opening post it sounds like you were being difficult with them and if you speak how you've typed in this thread you'd have probably got my back up if I was trying to deal with you at the roadside.

You have insurance and you have the documents. If you'd answered the coppers question of how much you had paid for cover you may have found they would have dealt with you differently as it would have shown you were attempting to comply with their request.

When dealing with the police I have always adopted the friendly and treat them on the same level as myself approach and as a result I have seen myself walk away without points, fines or anything else, sometimes when to be fair I really did deserve it.
