I've ordered a bearing kit so should have it in time for the weekend.
There wasn't a split pin throught the nut (in fact i'm not sure i remember a hole through the shaft for one....) so was a bit wary about how to make sure it's tight but not too slack that it would vibrate lose.
A friend had told me to fit the road wheel and spin it while tightening the hub nut, ever heard/used this method?
there will be a hole for the split pin and ffs make sure you fit one or you run a big risk of the nut coming off and everything else coming off with it!
as mentioned above tighten by hand, then a quick nip up with a spanner or socket (not too tight) then back it off slightly till you can get the split pin through the casalated nut cover, wheel on check for play if there is any nip it up a little more
