This is one of those anti-diesel myths that's been doing the rounds for years. They depreciate less, and cost less to run, they (often) cost less to tax and insure than their equivalent petrol so why do you need to be driving mega miles to make it worthwhile?

The only thing I miss is the noise. I can't ever see myself buying a petrol powered car again.
