You lads have never had it so easy back when i started i payed £12 a year to insure a Ford Popular that was 3 weeks pay in 1963 petrol was bloo*y expensive at 21p a gallon as well . My first Sports car a Supercharged Healey cost a mighty £42 a year fully comp I was 21 that was 2.5 weeks pay. I now pay £1008 a year with 30k agreed value with all mods declared & legal use of Nitrous on the road.

I knew i was born at the right time with no max speed limits & no cameras to interupt the racing but those prices are just silly. Im sure no modified car will be allowed on the road within 15 years maybe sooner.

I saw the start of Teenage motoring in the late 1950's & within my lifetime i may see the end of it .
